Congratulations Dr. Saguin!  Harry J Benda Prize for First Book on Southeast Asian Studies Awardee

The faculty, staff and students of the UP Department of Geography congratulate Dr Kristian Karlo Saguin for winning the Harry J Benda Prize for First Book on Southeast Asian Studies for his book Urban Ecologies on the Edge: Making Manila's Resource Frontier published by the University of California Press.

This is Dr Saguin's second prize for his book. Last year he also won the Meridian Book Award given by the American Association of Geographers.
