Research, Extension and Publication
The Office of the Associate Dean for Research, Extension, and Publications was formerly CSSP Research and Publications Office under the Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. It was established as a separate Associate Dean's office in 2014 under the Deanship of Dr. Grace H. Aguiling-Dalisay and was named the Office of the Associate Dean for Research and Publications. In August 2016, "Extension" was added to the Office's responsibilities and also to its official name.
OADREP serves as the College's coordinating office for the research and extension activities undertaken by the Departments/Units and individual faculty members/researchers. It also organizes the College's major extension activity— the CSSP Extramural Training Seminar for Social Science Teachers (EXTRAMS).
Under the Deanship of Dr. Maria Bernadette L. Abrera, OADREP envisions regional and global research and extension collaborations and is currently formulating multidisciplinary, relevant, and niche-building research themes to achieve this goal. A new extension activity, the CSSP Professional Education Series (PROFESS) was also initiated to provide continuing professional education for social science teachers and researchers in the country.
There are two publications and one extension office under the purview of OADREP namely Diliman Review (DR), Philippine Social Science Review (PSSR) & the Office of Service Learning & Outreach- Pahinungod (OSLO-Pahinungod). There are also two College Committees that are convened by the the ADREP: the College Extension Committee and the College Research Committee.
