UP College of Social Sciences and Philosophy lantern, a tribute to 150th birth anniversary of Rafael V. Palma

This year, the UP College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP) presents its lantern, "Kaisipang Pinalaya, Karunungang Pinasibol," to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Rafael Palma. The lantern features a book with Palma on its cover, while the four pages displayed on its sides symbolize the four decades of the College. CSSP's lantern was designed by Cleo Tantoco, a PhD candidate from the UP Department of History.

Francisco Nemenzo’s Notes from the Philippine Underground

The UP Third World Studies Center (UP Twsc), the UP Department of Political Science, and the Program on Alternative Development of the UP Center for Integrative and Development Studies, in collaboration with the UP Vargas Museum, present the launch of “Notes from the Philippine Underground,” a collection of selected writings by Francisco “Dodong” Nemenzo, published by the University of the Philippines Press. The event will take place on Saturday, 08 February 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the UP Vargas Museum.
