To continuously fulfill its function for technology integration in pedagogy and andragogy in line with the college vision, the CSSP Computer Laboratory conducted its semi-annual training entitled “Levelling-Up Graphic and Editing Skills with Canva” on 30-31 August 2021. The said training focused on the use of the Canva Application which is user-friendly and more convenient compared to other graphic and editing softwares. The training commenced at exactly 0830H via Zoom Video Conferencing and attended by twenty-one (21) CSSP employees from different departments and offices.
The training started with the introduction of Canva, its terminologies and basic features. The second part of the training introduced the ready-made templates in Canva to be used for poster making and other publicity materials necessary for events and other social media postings. Subsequently, video-editing tools were also tackled in the training to help the CSSP staff in producing various videos for the college.
Thereafter, an open forum followed whereby the series of questions, inquiries, and comments from participants were addressed by the Computer Laboratory Team regarding the use of Canva.
The program formally ended with a poster-making and video editing contest to measure the knowledge and skills gained by the participants and to ensure that they will definitely use Canva as one of their options as graphic design and editing softwares at work.
